The Doorbell
Parcels keep arriving for whoever lived in your flat before you. You've sent a few back. Then a heavy one comes: a laptop, still sealed, worth about a thousand. No forwarding address, no phone number, and the sender's returns window has closed. It sits in your hallway for a week.
